Swim, Bike, Run in Singapore
Singapore is one of the smallest countries in the World. Home to just over 5 million people, it is renowned as a financial hub and centre of innovation and technology. It also has some of the World’s best transport links and is ranked number 1 in the World in McKinsey’s Urban Transportation report. Singapore’s Changi Airport is home to the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and the Shiseido Forrest Valley (an indoor, five-story garden).
Urban Greenery
In fact, much of the city-state is abundantly green. Almost half of the territory of Singapore is covered by vegetation. The government has prioritized land for parks and nature reserves since 1967 and the city today is symbolised by its tree-lined streets. Every November, Singaporeans celebrate national tree planting day. Everyone from the Prime Minister to foreign diplomats to ordinary citizens plant trees.
Shopping Galore
If shopping is more your bag, Singapore’s Orchard Road is for you. The 2.2-kilometre shopping and entertainment boulevard in the heart of the city is brimming with luxury shopping malls, restaurants and hotels. Once you are shopped-out, you can visit Singapore’s National Museum or National Gallery to reinvigorate your creativity and restore your sense of calm.
World Famous Singapore Food
Another important part of life in Singapore is food. Singaporeans take food very seriously! In fact, two new restaurants are opened in Singapore every single day on average! From cheap hawker centers to Michelin-starred fine dining, you will not be short of options when it comes to fueling for an endurance race in this city.
Hainanese chicken rice, chili crab and creamy vegetarian laksa curries are just a few of the culinary delights that await you. What better way to motivate yourself as you eat up the kilometers than picturing yourself devouring some of Singapore’s finest culinary fare once you have crossed the finish line!
About Trifactor in Singapore
Trifactor has been hosting multisport events in Singapore since 2009. Our Singapore race events are enjoyed by locals, expats and athletes from Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the U.S.A.
Athletes wishing to race in Singapore can choose from three multisport events: Bike & Cycle-Run Challenge; Swim & Aqua-Run Challenge; or the full Swim-Bike-Run triathlon. All of our races take place at East Coast Park, Singapore’s most treasured urban getaway. Competitors enjoy open water swimming in the warm waters of the Singapore Strait, bike routes along Singapore’s beautiful coastline, and running under the shade of age-old trees.
